Message Due to a request by a member i documented my recent battery relocation with a few pics . I finally finished today and ill try to make it short because im tired .
First , the engine was out and made this alot easier and for what its worth i know alot of people dont like drilling holes in their car . for the record every hole i drilled was painted , siliconed, groumeted and some areas painted again . All wires were taped and loomed as well .
For the hot wire i used 15 ft. of 0 gauge wire for the full run and started by drilling a hole in the fire wall in a safe location .

I then moved my horn to the fender well and ran an 8 gauge wire from my accessories through the groumet used for the air bag system ( the access wire is wraped in elect.tape with the 2 yellow ties on it but note that it will be green inside the car ).

next i ran them down the door.

Just past the passenger set there's a hole in the body i used to fish the wire through , over the rear wheel well and out the back end by the tool area .

Now I could start on the tool area . I wanted to use the factory tray with the drain ( although i was using a spill proof red top optima ), so i had to fab a piece of wood for it to sit on and drill a hole for the drain . All of this had to fit in a tool compartment . The whole time im keeping in mind that i have to strap this thing down in the end so i was gauging what i would use and how it would happen.

note the small groumetvis for the drain and the larger hole was made in a factory groumet and will be used for the double ground later.

after all this was made to fit i purchased a 2inch strap from academy and cut it to fit , sewed new loops on it and bought handles from home depot to make my tie down .
